DeGolyer Medal

In 1965 the Society of Petroleum Engineers founded the Everette Lee DeGolyer Distinguished Service Medal "in recognition of the genius and extraordinary ability displayed by DeGolyer in his contributions to petroleum technology and to the organization of the industry." The medal recognizes distinguished and outstanding service to SPE, the professions of engineering and/or geology, and to the petroleum industry.
