DeGolyer and MacNaughton established the Reservoir Studies Division in 1967 to perform integrated studies long before the integrated study became a common industry practice.

The division, which is dedicated solely to reservoir characterization and simulation, maintains a full-time staff of more than a dozen professionals, consisting of engineers, geologists, geophysicists, and petrophysicists.

The division currently works closely with the associated geographical divisions at D&M to utilize their knowledge of regional reservoir behavior.

The company has simulated hundreds of oil and gas fields worldwide. Past studies range in complexity from single-well black-oil model studies to elaborate three-dimensional, compositional studies of large fields characterized by intricate geologic properties.

The Reservoir Studies division promotes interaction and cooperation with clients at an appropriate level to ensure timely delivery of a superior product.
