20th Century Petroleum Statistics ©

The 65th edition of Twentieth Century Petroleum Statistics © published by DeGolyer and MacNaughton is now available.  The publication contains tables and charts detailing a variety of data related to the domestic and international petroleum industry.

In addition to production and reserves statistics, the publication includes information on wells, refining, drilling costs, and demand.  Data are provided, as available, back to 1945.   Statistics from the years 1918 through 1944 are available in previous editions of the publication or upon request to D&M.

This collection of data is culled from information published by the American Petroleum Institute, Oil and Gas Journal, World Oil, the Energy Information Administration, and other government agencies.  More than 100 charts and graphs accompany the tables to provide a visual sense of trends in the industry.

Twentieth Century Petroleum Statistics © was first published in 1945 by the Navy Department's Office of Naval Petroleum and Oil Shale Reserves in Washington D.C. The director, Commodore W.G. Greenman of the U.S. Navy requested the data base be maintained and published on an annual basis since demand indicated that there was a practical need for the information.   D&M has published the compendium of petroleum data for use by students and industry professionals since 1946.
