Reservoir Simulation Engineer
DeGolyer and MacNaughton (D&M) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Reservoir Engineer with strong expertise in reservoir simulation to join our Reservoir Studies Division. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using ECLIPSE and Petrel to model reservoir performance, optimize recovery strategies, and support field development planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, history match, and forecast dynamic reservoir simulation models using commercial reservoir simulators including ECLIPSE.
- Evaluate reservoir performance and develop depletion strategies for oil and gas assets.
- Integrate geological, petrophysical, and production data to generate robust simulation models.
- Support field development planning, well placement, and production optimization.
- Conduct sensitivity studies to quantify reservoir uncertainties.
- Work collaboratively with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to align reservoir models with operational goals.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in reservoir engineering with a focus on dynamic simulation.
- Proficiency in ECLIPSE, Petrel, and related subsurface modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir fluid flow, rock/fluid properties, and reservoir management.
- Demonstrated ability to history match and forecast performance in complex reservoirs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Programming experience in R and Python for data analysis, automation, or custom workflows is a strong plus.
