Reservoir Simulation Engineer

DeGolyer and MacNaughton (D&M) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Reservoir Engineer with strong expertise in reservoir simulation to join our Reservoir Studies Division. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using ECLIPSE and Petrel to model reservoir performance, optimize recovery strategies, and support field development planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Build, history match, and forecast dynamic reservoir simulation models using commercial reservoir simulators including ECLIPSE.
Evaluate reservoir performance and develop depletion strategies for oil and gas assets.
Integrate geological, petrophysical, and production data to generate robust simulation models.
Support field development planning, well placement, and production optimization.
Conduct sensitivity studies to quantify reservoir uncertainties.
Work collaboratively with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to align reservoir models with operational goals.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in reservoir engineering with a focus on dynamic simulation.
Proficiency in ECLIPSE, Petrel, and related subsurface modeling tools.
Strong understanding of reservoir fluid flow, rock/fluid properties, and reservoir management.
Demonstrated ability to history match and forecast performance in complex reservoirs.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Programming experience in R and Python for data analysis, automation, or custom workflows is a strong plus.
