O. Adrian Adame joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton in 2014 as a petroleum engineer to evaluate reserves in North America. Prior to joining D&M, Adame interned at Three Forks Resources and Statoil.

Adame graduated with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and a business foundations certificate from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014. During his time at The University of Texas, he was a lab assistant in the petroleum department’s chemical EOR group and was an officer for the American Association of Drilling Engineers. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Major Projects

Primarily, Adame has performed reserves and resources evaluations across North America, including the Anadarko Basin, Barnett Shale, DJ Basin, Eagle Ford Shale, Permian Basin, Marcellus Shale, and Williston Basin. His experience ranges from evaluating producing wells to determining type curves and recoverable volumes from undeveloped regions. Additionally, he has assisted on multi-well simulation studies to assess optimal well spacing and completion effectiveness.

At D&M, Adame specializes in reservoir engineering and assists exploration and production operators, midstream companies, and financial institutions with reserves and economic evaluations for annual reporting requirements or merger and acquisition opportunities. He has experience performing evaluations according to SEC and SPE-PRMS guidelines. He works extensively with PHDWin and Citrine to develop reserves estimates based on the appropriate reserves definitions, development plans, decline-curve analysis, well performance diagnostics, and economics.
