Maria Cecilia Rodriguez joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton in June 2025 as a Senior Petrophysicist. Prior to joining D&M, she worked for several companies, including Pan American Energy, Fugro Jason, and YPF S.A., and as an independent consultant developing various projects. She has 20 years of experience in the industry.

Rodriguez graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 2005 with a degree in geological sciences. In 2007, she completed a post-graduate program in reservoir engineering, petroleum track, at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires.

Major Projects

Rodriguez began her career as a development geologist at Pan American Energy, working in fields in the Golfo San Jorge Basin. She later specialized in petrophysics at Fugro Jason, where she worked on several seismic inversion projects in the Neuquén Basin.

At YPF S.A., she was part of the team responsible for the initial large‑scale development of unconventional reservoirs in the Loma La Lata and Loma Campana Blocks. Her main responsibilities included developing the petrophysical model, planning log acquisition, and well completion. She also participated in multiple exploratory projects across several Argentine basins, as well as in the acquisition of a block in the Austral Basin.

More recently, she worked as an independent consultant, performing petrophysical modeling for fields in Argentina and Brazil, focused on resource evaluation, block development optimization, and resource valuation.
