Lloyd W. Cade is a Senior Vice President and Manager of DeGolyer and MacNaughton’s Europe/Africa Division, which coordinates the firm’s efforts in all of Europe and Africa, plus portions of the Middle East. As division manager, he oversees several of the ongoing relationships with major international firms and state-owned petroleum companies. Prior to joining D&M in 1986, he worked for Exxon Company USA.

Cade graduated cum laude from Kansas State University in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and is a registered professional engineer in Texas.

 Major Projects

Cade has performed reservoir engineering studies on fields throughout North America, the North Sea, North Africa, and Russia. He has worked numerous reserves appraisals for regulatory filing throughout the onshore and offshore Texas Gulf Coast region, West Texas, New Mexico, Mexico, and Canada.

Cade has evaluated heavily inert contaminated gas, very heavy oil, highly laminated reservoirs, and multi-porosity chalk fields across various basins in Europe and the North Sea.

He has extensive experience in the giant gas fields of Western Siberia (Russia), Iran, and Qatar. He has evaluated numerous development, infill-drilling, waterflood, and enhanced-recovery projects in the Caspian Sea region including the complex major Kashagan, Karachaganak, and Tengiz fields in Kazakhstan.

He also has performed reserves evaluations and supported project financing efforts for a number of liquefied natural gas projects in Egypt, Nigeria, Yemen, and Norway.

He has participated in reserves compliance committees for several international oil companies and presented seminars on reserves evaluation to a number of E&P companies and financial organizations.
