Mariya Townswick joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton in 2008 to work on reserves estimation in the Central Europe and Asia division.

Townswick graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering. She is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Petroleum Engineers Club of Dallas, and the Texas Energy Council. She serves on the Scholarship Committees for both the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Texas Energy Council. She is fluent in English and Russian and experienced in interpretation of business conversation.

Major Projects
Townswick has served as a coordinator and one of the reservoir engineers for several large reserves and contingent resources evaluations in Kazakhstan and Russia. As part of that work, she has evaluated reserves of one of the top five largest discovered gas fields in the world.

Townswick has also taught several seminars on the estimation of reserves and contingent resources using SEC and PRMS reserve definitions.
