Petroleum Engineer (Dallas, TX) – Multiple Openings

Duties:

• evaluate oil and gas reservoirs to estimate reserves
• review client supplied technical data from fields and reservoirs and prepare and analyze production performance curves
• evaluate petroleum reservoir fluid properties, apply the principles of fluid flow through porous media, analyze data pertaining to rock properties, and estimate the recovery of hydrocarbons from subsurface reservoirs
• perform economic analysis of forecast oil and gas production, with consideration for taxation issues
• assess costs and estimate production capabilities; monitor production rates and plan workover processes in order to improve production
• analysis of data in order to recommend processes to enhance production; and develop plans for oil and gas field drilling, and for product recovery and treatment.
• ability and experience to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-national teams
• demonstrated knowledge and understanding of other areas of Petroleum Engineering, such as geology, geophysics, petrophysics and production engineering.
• demonstrated experience in reservoir characterization, waterflooding projects, estimation and certification of hydrocarbon volumes and the technical and economic evaluation of new assets or exploratory opportunities.
• demonstrated experience in simulation modeling of a broad range of hydrocarbon reservoirs and experience in field development optimization.

Minimum Requirements:

1. At least a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or Natural Gas Engineering plus 5 years of experience involving analysis, interpretation, and numerical simulation of production and well test data.
2. Experience with predicting future performance of conventional oil and gas reservoirs and unconventional gas and liquids-rich shale reservoirs.
3. Demonstrated experience with preparing technical analyses and interpretative reports of production and well test data in conventional oil and gas reservoirs and unconventional gas and liquids-rich shale reservoirs.
4. Demonstrated experience with databases to analyze voluminous data.
5. Up to 40% domestic and international travel.
6. U.S. work authorization required.
