Technician – Engineering (Dallas, TX)

• Be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the estimation and classification of hydrocarbon reserves and resources
• Work closely with engineers and geologists to prepare, organize, and manage information and data on oil and gas fields
• Assist engineers to generate databases, compile results, conduct quality control checks, and prepare formal written reports
• Position requires technically sound judgment, the ability to review large amounts of data in a short timeframe, and efficiency in the application of techniques and tools
• Dedicated to completion of projects and the ability to consistently meet deadlines

• Bachelor’s degree in science related field required
• Proficient oral and written communication skills (Spanish language skills a plus, but not required)
• Available to work extended hours during peak periods
• U.S. work authorization required
• Some domestic and international travel may be required

• Oil and gas experience and knowledge of legal/financial terminology beneficial with industry experience in comparable role preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and have a proactive attitude toward providing assistance and support
• Ability to communicate effectively, have advanced multi-tasking capabilities, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Driven, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively
• Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Aries, OFM, PHDWin, Sahara, ValNav, and other oil field software will be a benefit to the candidate
• Experience with visual basic, macros, or other software programming experience, and experience managing large databases will be beneficial to the candidate
• Capable of quickly grasping new concepts and software applications
