Kirill A. Ezhov joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton’s Moscow office in 2020 as a petrophysicist specializing in reservoir studies based on log, core, well-test, and geologic data. Before joining D&M, Ezhov was a chief of formation evaluation laboratory at Gazpromneft.

Ezhov graduated from Gubkin State University of Oil and Gas, Moscow, with a master’s degree in petrophysics and well logging in 2011. He has authored over 40 publications related to petrophysics, geomechanics, and geology. Ezhov is fluent in Russian, English, and Serbian.

Geographical Experience

  • Angola
  • Hungary
  • Iraq
  • Romania
  • Russia
  • Serbia
  • Uzbekistan

Topical Areas of Expertise

  • Formation evaluation of clastic, carbonate, and basement reservoirs
  • Formation evaluation of naturally fractured and unconventional (shale) reservoirs
  • Integration of core analyses with well-test and geologic data
  • Processing, interpretation, and integration of special well-logging methods: borehole imagers, dipole sonic tools, nuclear magnetic resonance tools, triaxial induction tools
  • Borehole geomechanics and rock physics

Major Projects

Ezhov specializes in the interpretation of advanced well-logging tools and integration with conventional methods, core data, and well-test results.

He has significant background in petrophysical algorithm automatization and optimization using Python, and also experienced in R&D work related to unconventional reservoir evaluation.

Ezhov has conducted petrophysical interpretations for reserves estimation in various reservoirs in Russia and the Pannonian Basin. He is skilled in both probabilistic (multi-mineral modeling) and deterministic petrophysical analysis.
