Wayne H. Ritcheson joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton in 1997 as a geophysicist. As an interpreting geophysicist, he has worked on projects all over the world in a wide variety of geological settings. Ritcheson’s interpretation skills have been utilized in prospect evaluation and identification of areas of upside exploration opportunities.

Before joining D&M, Ritcheson worked for Western Geophysical, accumulating extensive experience in seismic data acquisition and becoming an expert in Ocean Bottom Cable operations. Ritcheson was promoted to a geophysicist for Western Hemisphere Marine Operations Geophysical Support in the Houston office.

Ritcheson received a bachelor’s degree in geology with a geophysics option from the University of Texas at Austin in December 1991. He is licensed by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists, Geophysics. He is an active member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the Dallas Geophysical Society, and the Dallas Geological Society.
