Petrophysical Studies
DeGolyer & MacNaughton employs a team of full-time petrophysicists to provide support for integrated studies and to perform petrophysical analyses worldwide. These petrophysicists have broad experience in a wide range of environments, including shale gas and other unconventional plays, deepwater reservoirs, and arctic environments. This team assists clients with challenging formation evaluation problems. Because of its extensive work in fields worldwide, D&M is helping clients improve interpretation of their target reservoirs.
D&M assists clients with the following:
- Net pay, porosity, permeability and water saturation estimates
- Clastic, Carbonate and Unconventional reservoir studies
- Field studies of up to thousands of wells
- Advanced fluid level contact determination
- Missed-pay identification
- Reservoirs of all ages, Pre-Cambrian through Tertiary
- Petrophysical database creation and verification
- Geocellular model properties, rock types and petrofacies estimations
- Integrated petrophysical geological and engineering studies
- Integration of core data, including capillary pressure and other SCAL data into the analysis
- Evaluation of Russian logs and all logs from the 1950s forward
