Major Projects

Caicedo worked as an exploration geologist and technical team lead in frontier areas of Southeast Asia and was in charge of planning and implementing technically sound and cost-effective exploration and development work programs for South Sumatra’s assets in Indonesia. He was accountable for vendors’ contract management and technical and commercial quality control supervision. He collaborated with individuals and multidisciplinary teams of geoscientists and engineers, contributing in high-impact subsurface projects to enhance reservoir characterization, supporting development, production optimization, reserves estimation, and long-term field planning.

He is an expert in geoscience and engineering software for data interpretation, mapping, complex reservoir characterization and geocellular modeling, risk analysis, and reserves/resources assessment, conversant in both deterministic and stochastic methods of analysis. He has experience in building and calibrating three-dimensional Mechanical Earth Models for geomechanical assessments of various drilling scenarios.
