Major Projects

Montero was part of multidisciplinary teams (geophysicists, geologists, petrophysicists, and engineers) dedicated to the development of oil and gas fields, reservoir characterization, and drilling and workover proposals in many onshore and offshore fields in Argentina.

Under a multi‑year contract with Petrobras, Montero led the geological and geophysical evaluations of oil and gas reserves in offshore fields within the Santos and Campos Basins, covering both pre-salt and post-salt reservoirs in Brazil, in accordance with the SEC and PRMS. He has also evaluated reserves and contingent resources for several companies with assets in Brazil across major producing basins such as the Campos, Espirito Santo, Potiguar, Reconcavo, Santos, and Sergipe Alagoas.

Among other projects, Montero worked with a large, multi-year contract with Pemex, delivering a comprehensive evaluation of oil and gas reserves across producing and green fields in the Salinas Sureste, Tampico-Misantla, and Deepwater Gulf Basins in Mexico.
