Juan Manuel Dri
Engineer
Juan Manuel Dri joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton in 2025 as an engineer, focusing on reserves and resources evaluation for conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Prior to joining D&M, he worked as a reservoir engineer at FDC Argentina, an oil and gas consulting company, Equinor, and Tecpetrol.
Dri graduated from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology (ITBA) in 2021, where he received his degree in petroleum engineering with an academic sponsorship from Pampa Energia. He then received a master’s degree in Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering from IFP School with an academic sponsorship from Equinor. In 2025, he received a master’s degree in finance from UCEMA. He is fluent in Spanish and English and knowledgeable in French.

Major Projects
Since his arrival at D&M, Dri has conducted reserves evaluations for clients in North America in accordance with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Petroleum Resources Management System (PRMS) for conventional and unconventional reservoirs. He has estimated oil and gas reserves using standard engineering methods such as volumetric calculations, material-balance, reservoir simulation, and production-performance analysis.
Prior to joining D&M, Dri worked as a reservoir engineer at FDC Argentina, an oil and gas consulting firm, where he monitored production, performed reservoir simulation, volumetric estimations, and economic evaluations, and optimized processes using Python and machine learning applications in well logging. Later, he worked as a reservoir engineer for Equinor in Norway to develop reservoir simulation workflows for produced water reinjection. After Equinor, Dri joined Tecpetrol in Argentina to be part of the team developing non-operated assets in Peru and Bolivia.
