Dylan Wong joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton in 2025 as an Associate Engineer. Prior to joining D&M, Wong worked as a production engineering intern at EOG Resources and a drilling engineer at Hess.

Wong earned his bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University in 2025. Wong has also received a certificate in data analytics from Texas A&M University, conducting research on applying machine learning models to petroleum engineering problems. Wong is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

 Major Projects

Wong recently assisted in solving problems and streamlining workflows within D&M, utilizing generative AI to manage reports, parse documents, and extract data. He has also recently contributed to the construction of full-field development plans, including drill scheduling and reserves estimation.

Wong’s experience encompasses production forecasting, type-well profile analysis, reserves evaluation/ reconciliation, and economic analysis in major United States basins (Permian, Eagle Ford, Haynesville/Bossier, Uinta, Utica, Bakken, Anadarko, Appalachian/Marcellus, Alaska North Slope). Of these, Wong has worked in both conventional and unconventional portfolios as well as waterflood projects.

He is proficient in managing databases in PHDWin and ARIES. Wong consistently performs data preprocessing, analysis, and visualization using Python, Spotfire, Microsoft Excel, and LLMs.
