Major Projects

Preston has carried out reserves estimation and economic evaluations for oil and gas fields in various countries in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He has significant experience in reserves appraisals and operational experience with drilling, workovers, and artificial-lift installation. Preston has experience in performance and volumetric analysis of mature fields as well as new developments in many geographical settings. He has also coordinated multi-disciplinary projects in acquisitions, bank financing, and annual reserves reporting around the world.

Preston coordinates yearly evaluations for the largest operators in Norway. The evaluation efforts include volumetric and performance analysis of multiple fields and producing horizons to create reports used in yearly filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Preston recently performed an evaluation of reserves and resources on a diverse set of onshore and offshore oil and gas fields in Egypt. An economic appraisal of multiple production sharing contracts was included as part of the final product.

In addition, Preston recently evaluated a newly discovered tight gas field in Oman with challenging well placement and performance issues. A number of scenarios were evaluated to establish the potential of the field.
