Fidel Avelar is a Vice President and Principal Systems Analyst who joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton in 2009, providing leadership for enterprise systems, network infrastructure, and data storage environments supporting oil and gas consulting and evaluation workflows. He regularly leads analysis of system and connectivity issues, coordinates resolution across technical teams, and helps minimize disruptions to consulting workflows.

Avelar has led enhancements in data storage reliability and recovery capabilities, supporting uninterrupted access to large technical datasets used by engineers and geoscientists. He also promotes strong security and data stewardship practices, supporting organizational standards related to secure access, communications, and the protection of confidential information.
